My Management Style Is To Be Combative And Cooperative When Necessary-Zenith Banks GMD

Newly appointed Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Ebenezer Onyeagwu has said that his management style at the bank going forward will be to adopt a two-pronged approach of being combative and cooperative when necessary.

The Zenith Bank’s CEO who disclosed this while speaking at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closing bell ceremony Wednesday maintained that his job had been easier by the former minders of the bank whom he said performed creditably.

NSE CEO Oscar Onyema who graced the occasion said the event was to introduce the newly appointed Zenith Bank helmsman to the market

According to him, the founder of the bank Jim Ovia did a lot of ground breaking work in the bank that has kept it solid over the years, saying that Ovia did not only saw the vision on which the bank runs, but also laid a solid foundation or superstructure.

He said the performance of Mesers Godwin Emiefele and Peter Amangbo added to the success of the bank and ensured that Zenith Bank Plc is in a class of its own today.

The Zenith Bank CEO who visited the NSE with some top management team of the bank who include Dr Tmitope Faronti, Nonye Ayeni , Adaobi Nwankpa etc praised Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) current effort to ensure SME’s in the country are able to access loans more efficiently.

He said the policy would ultimately boost our retail trade and enable the economy, adding that all these are possible because of the introduction of BVN which have enabled Nigeria to solve its financial identity problems.
