Ogun State Police Command on Wednesday, 15th of August,2018 arrested one 28year old Kelvin Michael over the death of Monsurat Idowu after a marathon sex.
The arrest of the suspect,according to Ogun Police Image Maker, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, was as a result of a complain made by one Mr. Benjamin Okereke of the State Hospital Ota who was said to have notified the police when the suspect brought the deceased to the hospital dead on arrival, and could not explain what led to the death of the deceased.
DPO Onipanu Division, SP Sangobiyi Johnson upon information received, led his men to the hospital where Michael was promptly arrested.
Upon interrogation, Michael claimed to have met Monsurat last month July in a bus at Ketu, Lagos where they exchanged phone numbers, consequent upon which he invited her to the house of his friend in Ota where the deceased suddenly slumped and died shortly after making love.
The deceased husband, Mr. Idowu Lamidi a commercial driver when contacted told the Police that he left his wife and mother of his five children in the house hale and hearty while going out for work wondering what might lead to her untimely death.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for a discreet investigation, while the deceased corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for post mortem examination.
