Most Crimes Committed Under The Influence Of Drugs – CP Buba

Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Buba, has attributed the commission of most crimes to the illicit use of drugs.

He said this on Tuesday in his office while receiving the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, on Drugs, Narcotics and Human Trafficking, Alhaji Mohammed Hamza Borodo in his office.

Alhaji Borodo who paid a courtesy visit on the CP seeks his support, synergy and cooperation of the Police command to the newly established office in the ongoing onslaught against illicit drugs and human trafficking in the state.

Responding, CP Buba commended the visitor, reiterating that the command has “tremendously achieved a lot in the fight against illicit Drugs and human trafficking.”

He stated that most crimes are been committed under the influence of drugs. “Drugs are the basis for the commission of many crimes like banditry, armed robbery, rape, other sexual offences and even terrorism.”

He observed that the closure of the border and other stringent measures taken by the security agencies have greatly helped in bringing down the proliferation of drugs across the border.
