Missioner Decries Imbalance Evangelising Unreached, Unsaved

…as GMC plans hosting 150 missionaries from Africa, UK

Visioner of the Global Mandate Conference (GMC), Rev. Toyin Kehinde, has stressed the need to close the gap and create a balance in evangelising the unreached and the unsaved across the globe.

The preacher made this known while addressing the press, alongside his wife, Rev. Dr. Folashade and some ministers of the church ahead of the 2025 edition of GMC, holding February 20 to 23, with the theme, ‘His Word to Our World’.

Kehinde, who is the Senior and Founding Pastor of Agape Generation International Church, noted the existence of an imbalance as the focus has been more on the unsaved (those with access to the gospel or have been been preached to but have not decided to be saved)whereas there are many unreached (those without access to the gospel or have not been preached to)in different parts of the world.

He highlighted the importance of supporting missionaries and the impacts of their work, knowing the challenges they face in different parts of the world and facilitating connections among missionaries, pastors, and Christian workers.

Also, he pointed that about 150 missionaries were expected from several African countries and the United Kingdom, as these missionaries are serving in some of the remotest part of the world and among unreached.

The Convener who said the GMC’s focus is: rest, report, recharge, reignite and reconnect; added that it started off in 2015 as Homecoming (during homecoming missionaries were accommodated by church members/families for the period of the conference).

Kehinde partly stated: “Attending the conference provides the missionaries an opportunity for a well-deserved rest and relaxation. They are simply pampered. They do not have to worry about accommodation, feeding or transportation as this is taken care of by the church and partners who also have plugged into the vision.

“At the conference the missionaries who probably have had to give so much of themselves can now sit back to listen, unlearn, learn, re-learn and engage on how to continue and improve their capacity for the work. The missionaries are exposed to series of teachings during this period as well as workshops, skill acquisitions, tent making ideas, financial management skills etc. There are also counselling sessions for the missionaries.

“Also, to help renew the strength of the missionaries, medical examinations, talks and medications are also carried out by the medical team of the church. The conference also aims to help participants both missionaries, city pastors and Christian workers present to re-ignite the passion and pursuit of global missions. Current trends and challenges are discussed, and action plans are drawn by participants.”
