Hours after the news making the rounds on the social media of an aircrash involving a Nigerian Air Force plane on Sunday, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has dismissed the report that it lost another aircraft in Kaduna.
According to NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, who responded to the news, “the report of the crash is false. No crash in Kaduna. No aircraft left Yola for Kaduna. I am making contact and awaiting information from other locations.”
The earlier report had said a Nigerian military “Alpha jet” aircraft crashed in Kaduna State on Sunday 18th July.
The report described by Gabkwet as false said the affected fighter jet left Yola, the Adamawa capital on Sunday morning, to go and clear some bandits.
