Legal practitioner and Acting Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), George Turnah, has paid glowing tributes to his late mother, Deaconess Elizabeth Titi Charles, as he marks the 5th anniversary of her passing.
He described his mother who passed on at age 67 in 2020 as a ‘Great Deaconess of all times and seasons’ whose godly life, moral strength, and unwavering devotion to family and faith has continued to inspire all who knew her.
In an emotionally-laden message released on Wednesday 17th July, 2025, Turnah expressed deep sorrow and enduring love, stating that: “Oh, my dear mother, it’s been 5 years since you left me alone in this wicked and sinful world, yet it feels like just yesterday. I love you with all my heart, and I miss you every second of each day.”
He further remarked that though the pain of her absence remains fresh, his consolation lies in the hope of reunion on the resurrection morning, in accordance with their shared Christian faith.
Turnah further said: “My late mum, Deaconess Elizabeth Titi Charles was known not only as a devoted mother but also as a pillar in her church and community.
“Her legacy of kindness, spiritual dedication, and exemplary character remains alive in the hearts of many, especially George Turnah, her beloved son.
