With a wealth of experience, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, a well-known media entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political leader in Nigeria is one Nigerian who must add value to wherever they are found per time going by his track record.
Born on May 2nd, 1966 and hails from Malagi in Gbako Local Government Area of Niger State, Idris holds a Master’s Degree in English Language (M.A. English) from Bayero University, Kano, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (B.A English) from the University of Sokoto (Now Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto).
A media entrepreneur, he is the Publisher of Blueprint Newspapers and Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
Alhaji Mohammed Idris is also a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a member of African Public Relations Association ( APRA)
A seasoned media professional and employer of labour, he is the Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant of Bifocal Communications Limited, a leading public relations company in Nigeria since 1996 till date.
He was instrumental to the success of various policies when he served as the Chairman of Abuja Property Development Company (APDC) from 2017 to 2022, the reason he was reappointed to Chair the Board from January 2023 to June 2023.
Apart from being a major player in the print media industry, Idris is also the Chairman of Kings Broadcasting Limited, owners of WE FM 106.3 Radio Station in Abuja.
He was the Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in Kaduna State and Vice chairman of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN), his wealth of experience in the public sector is one that can bring more development to Nigeria.
A well exposed media entrepreneur, he is a member of the International Press Institute (IPI) and a member of the Nigerian Delegation to the IPI Congress in Switzerland in 2021.
To deepen his experience and knowledge in public relations, he has attended several local and international workshops and conferences on public relations, media entrepreneurship, and leadership.
During the campaign ahead of the 2023 election, the public relations expert served as the Director, Strategic Communications, APC Presidential Campaign Council for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign in 2023.
He also served as the Deputy Chairman of the Information/Communication Sub-Committee of the Policy Advisory Council of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He is credited to have repositioned and reenergized the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State from 2019 to 2023, being a member of the Patrons Committee of the APC Campaign Council in Niger State in 2023.
He is also a philanthropist who has supported several community development projects in Niger State thus he was recognized as the Kakaaki Nupe by the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.
