Many May Never Recover From Harsh Effects Of 2020 –Olukoya

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya, says many people may never recover from the devastating effects of the Year 2020.

He stated this on Thursday night during the church’s crossover service at the church’s headquarters in the Yaba area of Lagos State.

The Year 2020 was marred by economic and health turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Nigeria also suffered the #EndSARS nationwide protests against police brutality and extrajudicial killings which degenerated into morbid violence and mass destruction of lives and property. Several means of livelihood were lost to the looting and burning down of business premises that trailed the protests.

Speaking on Thursday night, the cleric said, “Year 2020 was a very messy and challenging year. We can call it a very horrible year. The Lord warned us in the beginning that it was going to be very messy. The year has reset the whole world. But I will not deceive you, except by divine intervention, many will never recover from the harsh effects of the year. 2021 is here but the aura of 2020 will of course dovetail into the year.”

Olukoya, who released over 30 prophecies for the Year 2021, tagged the New Year as the “Year of the Valley”.

“The Year 2021 can be called the Year of the Valley. But the Bible says though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me. So, you need God more than ever before in the New Year,” he said, noting that with divine presence, aggressive holiness, and aggressive prayers, the challenges of 2021 can be surmounted.

He further said there would be programmed controversies and strange conspiracies as well as strange disasters in the New Year but quickly added that all these can be arrested on the altar of prayers.

Olukoya also said 2021 would be a year of mental and emotional refreshment and the year would yield great dividends for skilled workers.

He enjoined all Nigerians to pray to God to “invade Nigeria and as we continue to pray, there will be dividends”.
