LG Polls Results In Niger: 22, Out Of 25 Local Government Council’s Won By APC- NSIEC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 22, out of the 25 local government councils election conducted on Thursday in the state by the  State Independent Electoral Commission( NSIEC).

Announcing the results in Minna on Friday, the Director of Operations Niger State Independent Electoral Commission(NSIEC) Comrade Ibrahim Aliyu Tunganwawa said results of the remaining three local government councils were still being awaited.

Comrade Ibrahim Aliyu Tunganwawa noted that  due to some problems experienced during the conduct of the local government councils election the  State Independent Electoral Commission will conduct rerun election in two wards of Rafi and Kontagora local government councils.

According to him the two wards were that of Kusherki and Tungan kawo scheduled  for this sunday( tomorrow).

Comrade Ibrahim Aliyu Tunganwawa who described the local government councils election as peaceful and orderly despite some minor hitches however explained that 13 political parties participated in the local government polls.

The Director Operations further added that the results of three local government councils(3) being awaited were Katcha, Agwara, and Borgu LGAs.
