The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice in the organised private sector (OPS) in Nigeria has concluded arrangements to assign current participants of its mentoring program to their respective mentors for practical mentoring session.
The Mentor-Mentee Matching ceremony, according to LCCI is scheduled to hold on Friday, 5th August, 2016 by 10am at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, behind MKO Abiola Gardens, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. The event will also feature exhibition of products and services of the mentees.
Muda Yusuf, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: “The LCCI mentoring program is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the Chamber, aimed at contributing meaningfully to the development of our youth, and develop in them an entrepreneurial mindset.”
The Director General further stressed that, “This will afford the mentees to brainstorm, innovate on how to improve their business processes as well as solving problems facing their business operations with the assistance of their respective mentors. It will also help young entrepreneurs to build their capacity and benefit from the rich experience of their mentors.”
He further added that “the initiative is a way of developing change-agents, who will place Nigeria among the top economies in the world.”
