The family of Pastor Oluwafemi Martins, the late Provost of the West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS), Ipaja, Lagos, has announced the burial arrangements of the late cleric.
In a flier circulated by the family, a service of songs is scheduled to hold at WATS, 36, Olukunle Akinola street, Akinyele, Ipaja, Lagos State on 29th June at 3pm.
The publication also stated that a wake keep shall hold in honour of Martins, the former Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Yaba College of Technology on 30th June 2022. The event is scheduled to hold at the Emmanuel Unachukwu Hall, Alumni Complex on the campus.
The deceased according to the information received shall lie in state in the same hall between 9am and 10:30am on 1st July while a funeral service shall be held at Hoares Memorial Methodist Cathedral, 321, Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo , Yaba, Lagos at 11am after which the remains of the late Provost shall be interred at the Atan cemetery, Yaba.
The publication stated also that there shall be a reception at the Yaba College of Technology after the internment.
Martins was a dogged believer in Christ who he accepted as his Lord and savior in the course of his sojourn.
He joined WATS as a Communication Officer and later became the Provost of the seminary until his death.
Martins, 67 who led the seminary through its most difficult period left his aged mother, wife, children, grandchildren, colleagues, brothers, sisters and the seminary community he cherished so much.
