‎Lafarge Africa Plc (WAPCO) Reports 247.9% Surge In Q2-25 Earnings ‎

‎Lafarge Africa Plc (WAPCO) has reported a significant 247.9% year-on-year increase in its Q2-25 standalone earnings per share (EPS) to NGN5.22, driven by a 70.2% rise in revenue.

‎The company’s revenue growth was fueled by strong performance across all business segments, including cement, aggregates & concrete, and mortar and power.

‎In the first half of 2025, WAPCO’s EPS surged by 352.1% year-on-year to NGN8.24, already outperforming the company’s 2024 full-year EPS of NGN6.22.

‎The company’s gross margin expanded by 11.54 percentage points year-on-year to 67.6%, reflecting slower growth in cost of sales compared to revenue.

‎According to Cordros Securities analysis, WAPCO’s profit before tax rose by 233.9% year-on-year to NGN126.62 billion, while profit after tax jumped by 247.9% year-on-year to NGN84.03 billion.

‎The company’s impressive performance is expected to continue in the second half of 2025, supported by sustained demand from the construction and real estate sectors.
