Joint Police, Army Operation Nab Fake Soldiers In Hotel in Delta

A combined operation carried out by men of the Nigerian Police and Nigerian Army have led to the arrest of two military impersonators.

They were arrested on the 5th April, 2021 about 1300hrs.

It was learnt that information received was that a woman identified as Jemilia Suleman, 48, a native of Plateau State with one Monagor Charles ‘m’ 61 years of Ndokwa East L.G Area Delta State were found wearing military uniforms and lodged in Beji Court Hotel Bendel Estate Off Airport road Effurun.

The DPO Ogborikoko Division, CSP Martha Ikong characteristically, led Surveillance operatives in conjunction with military personnel to the hotel and arrested the suspects.

It was found that the suspects had 10 pairs of military camouflage uniforms, six T-shirt, jungle caps, one T-shirt and one singlet on them.

On interrogation, the lady suspect confessed that she bought the said uniform in the market and use it to earn a living.

In another development, on the 30th April, 2021 about 0430hrs, information received from an Elu vigilante member that one Etor Lucky, a male and a 20 years old of Elu and two other members of Viking confraternity, a secret cult, were disrupting social wake keep and harassing invited guest in Elu community.

The Divisional police officer, Ozoro Division mobilized police patrol team to the scene and arrested the said Etor Lucky and recovered a cut-to-size locally made single barrel gun.
