“Intelligence Critical To Military Operations” – GOC, 81 Division

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Babalola,

has re-emphasized the critical role of intelligence in military operations and sought the support and collaboration with the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS).

He noted that the continued support in providing timely and actionable information would enhance security within the Division’s Area of Responsibility.

This assurance was given during a courtesy visit by the Commandant NAIS, Brigadier General D Umaru, to the Division Headquarters in Lagos on Thursday, 12th February 2026.

Major General Babalola further reiterated and assured the Commandant that 81 Division remains committed to sustained support and collaboration to NAIS.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commandant NAIS, Brigadier General Umaru appreciated the warm reception and acknowledged the strategic importance of the Division and his commitment to deepening collaboration.

He congratulated the GOC for his well deserved appointment as the 26th GOC 81 Division and wished him a successful tour of duty.
