IGP Dines and Wine With Crime Reporters

…calls for balanced reportage, patriotism

As the yuletide period sets in, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, on Tuesday evening, 20th December, 2022, hosted journalists and crime reporters criss-crossing all sections of the media.

The banquet held at the Nigeria Police Officers’ Mess, Garki, Abuja included journalists from the print, electronic and social media covering the Police beat, as a mark of appreciation for balanced reportage and cement synergy between the NPF and the media.

The IGP appreciated the reporters for their dedication to ensuring that members of the Nigerian society receive timely updates on matters relating to the Force even as he urged them to enthrone balanced reportage and patriotism in the discharge of their duties.

Based on that, he charged members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm to eschew sentiments and unprofessional acts while conducting their business.

IGP Usman Alkali Baba wishes Nigerians a prosperous Christmas and New year 2023 in advance.
