ICPC Secures Conviction Of FAAN Staff Over Forged Certificate

‎The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has secured the conviction of Mr. Iyonu Eseme, a staff member of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), for using a forged Trade Test Certificate to gain employment.

‎Mr. Eseme was found guilty by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Maitama, Abuja, and sentenced to a fine of ₦50,000. The conviction followed a plea bargain agreement.

‎The ICPC had arraigned Mr. Eseme on a three-count charge bordering on forgery, contrary to Sections 363 and 364 of the Penal Code Act.

‎The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to upholding integrity and transparency in public institutions, warning that corrupt practices, including forgery, would not be tolerated.
