Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has bagged the Honourary Life Member Award of the Ibadan Recreation Club (1902).
The governor was represented by his wife, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, at the award programme in Ibadan over the weekend.
President of the Club, Otunba Adegboyega Fisher, described Governor Akeredolu as a humble and great pillar of support to the Club,adding that the award is in recognition of his contributions towards the growth, development and transformation of the Ibadan Recreation Club (1902).
He noted that by virtue of the honour, the awardee has unlimited access to the 117 years old Club throughout his lifetime and their contributions will remain germane for the betterment of the Club, while calling on members to be more committed to the activities of the Club in order to move the Club to greater height. He maintained that he and his team have impacted greatly on the Club, through the support of many members and friends.
Other awardees are Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Major General Akinotun Muraina, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Dr. Afolabi, Prof. Dapo Afolabi, Mr. Sunkanmi Tebi, Dr. Femi Kalejaiye and other distinguished personalities.
Also present at the occasion were the governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former governor of Osun state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the deputy governor of Oyo state, Chief Moses Adeyemi, amongst others.
