‘I Want Nigerians To Pray For Country On My Birthday’

Head of Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) and member, Kogi State Advisory Intervention Committee on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Quadri-adu Shakir Kehinde, has called on Nigerians irrespective of their religious background to pray for the well-being of the country.

Kehinde told journalists recently that the situation in Nigeria now needs more prayer and he is therefore seizing the opportunity of his forth coming birthday to call Nigerians to pray to God.

“I am using this medium to call on my friends, family members and associates to use my birthday slated for Sunday 20th March to pray for Nigeria,” he said.

The businessman added that, “It will be appreciated if by between 1:00 pm and 1:10pm of that day, you can do SUJUD (Prostrate to God Almighty) and ask Him to take control of the affairs of this country.

“This is a clarion call on every good Nigerian associated with me, Christians, Muslims and people of other religion that believe in the existence of God to do this for me. This is my birthday wish as we can’t keep watching, hands akimbo and allow our dear country collapse. Let us call on God to salvage this nation. Thank you and God bless us all,” he pleaded.

Meanwhile, the Christian period of fasting is ongoing and Nigerians are praying for the peace of the nation and the forthcoming general elections in 2023.

Likewise, the Muslims’ month of Ramadan is coming up in April and Muslim faithful are also expected to take Nigeria’s case to God in prayer.
