Homeless Mother Of Four Children Delivers A Baby At Lekki

Men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command on Friday rescued a destitute who was delivered of a baby girl by the road side.

It was learnt that the homeless woman who already has four children was rescued at Ikate – Elegushi area of Lekki after it got a distress call for assistance of a homeless mother on the road.

A good Samaritan had early this morning called a live radio station informing them about the deplorable condition of the unidentified woman that gave birth and was bleeding profusely, calling for urgent medical assistance to keep both baby and mother alive.

It was further gathered that RRS officers evacuated the woman, her new baby along with her four siblings with the assistance of two sympathisers to Eti – Osa Primary Health Care, Ikate – Elegushi Town.

However, the mother and the new baby along with four other children are said to be in good condition.
