Unknown gunmen at the weekend attacked Al-Amin filling station in Pandogari town in Rafi local government of Niger state, abducted the station manager, identified as Malam Muazzam and three others, National Wire gathered on Tuesday.

Among those killed, according to Suleiman Muhammad, a resident, was one Abubakar whose wedding is said to be two weeks away.
Our reporter further gathered that one of the kidnapped persons was set free when the motorcycle carrying him and one of the abductors developed a mechanical problem midway into the journey to their criminal hide out around Alawa forest in Shiroro local government area of the state .
Malam Suleiman who spoke to National Wire on telephone said the gunmen arrived the target filling station, shooting sporadically into the air and had held sway for more than 30 minutes, adding that a detachment of the police and military personnel attached to the area only got to the scene after the hoodlums had left.
He said the abductors have made contact with community leaders and were said to have demanded for N3 million naira each as ransom before the two remaing victims would be set free from.the abductors captivity.
He said the latest incident was coming barely a week after three persons were abducted on their way from Alawa market recently .
He said the abductors demanded for N5 million but later accepted N700, 0000 and released the victims.
When contacted the State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer,(PPRO) ASP Peter Sunday confirmed that incident, adding that the fleeing.gunmen were shooting their guns sporadically, while out of the three people said to have been hit by bullets, one of them died, while the remaining two were.fatally injured and were still. on admission in an undisclosed hospital.
He also confirmed that three persons were abducted but said one of them was rescued by the police.
