In its bid for a better society, a non – governmental and non – Partisan Organization , under the aegis of the United Elites for grassroot Development Foundation ( UNEGRODEF ) said it is piqued with the myriads of factors that militate against societal development and therefore poised to partner with persons and corporate organizations to contribute its quota towards improved and betterment of our society .
The Team Leader of ( UNEGRODEF ) Engr. James Karimo Sokari stated this after its meeting in Yenagoa.
According to him, the United Elites For Grassroot Development Foundation which was founded a year ago with membership of 30 was premised on a formidable front of vibrant men and women for the good and progressive good of society and its members .
He named other objectives to include educating the citizenry in formal and informal education , to assist the less privileged persons in actualization of their full potentials , the resolve to learn from the experiences of well endowed elder statesmen and partnership with other Non- Governmental Organizations for the peaceful co – existence of members of the society.
He disclosed that in order to actualize its vision and missions , the group has embarked on visits to some elder statesmen and 11 schools in seven out of the eight local government areas of Bayelsa state.” When we visited some distinguished personalities such as Senator Inatimi Rufus – Spiff, Senator Nimi Barigha – Amange, Pastor S.S Peters , they did not only applauded us , but promised to partner with us because of our progressive ideas to contribute to the betterment of our society ” he said.
” Also in other to inculcate hard work and progress in our youths we always appointed an ambassador who serves as role model in each school and we mentor students on hard work as the only panacea to success in life”
