FRSC Warns Motorists Against Speed

…rescues victim at Kara Bridge

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos Sector Command has rescued an unnamed driver of a Toyota car with registration number: LND282FQ, Ash colour on Kara Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The incident was said to have occurred early this morning about 0510hrs, Wednesday, 6 September, 2023, after the command got a distress call.

The team was said to have rushed to the scene in record time and took victim involved to the Ojota Emergency Centre by the Nigerian Police while the obstruction was cleared by FRSC and Nigeria Police.

According to the FRSC Public Education Officer, Superintendent Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi
said in a statement that the Sector Commander Corps Commander Babatunde Farinloye has admonished motorists to drive carefully, especially during this rainy season.

He called on motorists to avoid excessive speed as speed kills and ensure their wipers and lighting systems are functioning.

He further reassured the motoring public of FRSC’s commitment to effective service delivery and a safe motoring environment.
