Pursuant to a national movement for moral and cyber safety, Levi EduTech has launched the cybersmart club to tackle digital moral crisis in schools.
The launch which simultaneously provided a platform for the celebration of Nigeria’s top digital educators, witnessed the gathering of over 200 educators, government officials, and ICT leaders at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The Afe Babalola Hall at the University of Lagos was abuzz with energy as educators, policymakers, and digital experts convened for the Grand Finale of the Cybersmart Educators Initiative (CEI) 1.0 — a flagship program of Levi Educational Technology and Design Consulting Ltd (Levi EduTech).
The event marked a pivotal step in reshaping Nigeria’s education system through cybersecurity awareness, digital literacy, and moral responsibility.
The Keynote Speaker, Prof. Boniface Kayode Alese, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on ‘Zero Trust Security for Nigerian Schools: A Practical Framework for Protecting Staff and Students Online’.
He emphasized the urgent need for Nigerian schools to adopt structured cybersecurity frameworks that safeguard both children and institutional data from the growing threats in the digital landscape.
In her presentation, Mrs. Naomi Y. Adesola-Zion, Head of Operations at Levi EduTech, highlighted the pressing need for digital morality in classrooms.
She shared a real-life story of a child who recorded his parents’ private moments — a stark reminder of the dangers of unmonitored digital exposure and the moral decay affecting youth today.
“Technology has become both a blessing and a battlefield. If we do not act intentionally and urgently, we risk not just privacy but our children’s sense of right and wrong,” she stressed.
She called for a unified effort from schools, parents, and policymakers to guide the next generation in safe, ethical, and responsible technology use.
Adding his voice, Pastor Sehinde Johnson, Media, Marketing and Logistics Manager of Levi EduTech, underscored the importance of proactive educator training.
He revealed that over ₦45 million was invested in training and empowering the 140 teachers across Nigeria, covering costs such as cash awards, digital resources, and instructional support.
He described the Cybersmart Educators Initiative as a national investment in Nigeria’s future, one that bridges moral education with technology-driven learning.
