Police operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja have arrested some suspected notorious kidnappers at a hotel in Bassa Village in Abuja.
The arrest carried out by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in its continued fight against criminality in FCT, was carried out on the 2nd February, 2024 after acting on credible intelligence.
Those arrested include one Buhari Muhammad, 20 years, a wanted kidnap kingpin; Muhammad Sabiu, 20 years, Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa, 21 years, Fatima Abdullahi, female, 22years and Zuliat Yusuf, female, 23 years.
The notorious kidnap syndicate were responsible for the abduction of one Joshua Eze, the husband to Blessing Eze who suffered a bullet injury in the process of her husband’s abduction on 27th January, 2024 and was subsequently rescued unhurt by Police operatives of the Command on 28th January, 2024.
In the process, one AK 47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, cash sum of N345,000 and some other valuables were recovered from the suspects who have since confessed to the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the Territory.
While investigation is still ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh has assured members of the public of his commitment to rid FCT of criminality in all its manifestation.
