Ex-Agitator Berates Umusuku Over Calls For Ogbuku’s Aide’s Sack

Ex-Niger Delta agitator and frontline youths leader in the region, Comrade Seiyefa Gbedeke(aka General Cairo), has said claims about purported sidelining and not giving what is due to the youths in the region, made by Elder Charles Omusuku against the SA youths to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Comrade Matthew Dango, as not true.

In a reaction via a press statement made available to the newsmen in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital, Cairo described the allegations as falsehood, ridiculous and an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the young rising man.

He said: “The attack on Senior Comrade Matthew Dango, the SA youths to the MD, of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, on social media platforms were uncalled for by Elder Charles Omusuku.

He noted that he wondered why Omusuku goes out of his way to tarnish the integrity of the MD’s aide, alleging that Umusuku was trying to cause unnecessary uproar amongst youths in the region.

He added: “Since his assumption of office as SA youths, Dango have never went off his way in dealing with youths or bypassing them in the region.

“Dango had also no antecedence of relegating youths and elders to the background and denying them of their legitimate rights and privileges from the MD, Dr. Ogbuku, the commission nor misrepresenting their collective interest and will of the youths”.

General Cairo stressed that the MD’s aide stands as strong pillar of unity between the youths and the elders in the affairs of things about the NDDC, just as he lso pointed out that, Dango does not base his dealings with youths and elders in the region on there places of origin, but rather operates an open-door policy to all and sundry.

He reiterated that Dango has been working tirelessly towards the common good of all youths in the region, saying there was no any better person to occupy the position for now than the present occupant of the office of the SA, Youths.

The ex-agitator cautioned Omusuku to play his elderly advisory role effectively, saying that he would surely get whatever is due him, just as other youths too would get theirs, and that he should stop inciting youths in the region to create crisis over trivial issues.

He asked him to engage the youths in the region towards the consciousness of the rapid development of the neglected region, advising Elder Omusuku not to exhibit treachery and envy, as against service and development to the youths in the region, just as he called on the MD of the Commission to ignore and disregard any call to sack Dango as SA youths and the general public to disregard the calculated malicious attack by those who have not contributed anything positive to the development of the youths in the region.
