End Of The Road For Expressway Armed Robbery Suspect

An armed robbery suspect met his waterloo during a gun battle with men of Ogun state Police command in the early morning of Sunday 7th January 2017 at ososa junction of shagamu/ ore express way, Ogun state.
A distress call was said to have been made to Federal SARS operative that robbers had blocked the expressway around 2.30 and where having a filled day by dispossessing people of their properties.
According to the Ogun state image maker, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, upon receiving information, the officer in charge of FSARS, DSP Uba Adam led his men to the scene where the robbers, sighting the security operatives opened fire and engaged them in gun duel which lasted for about 45 minutes.
At the end of the encounter, one of the robbers was shot dead while others escaped with gunshot injuries.
Two locally made single barrel guns and seventy eight live cartridges were recovered from the spot.
The commissioner of police, Ahmed Iliyasu who commended his men for the prompt response to the distress call,appealed to members of the public especially hospitals to quickly informed the police if they see  anybody with gunshot wound in their areas.
