Anti graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has formally charged Mr. Olu Agunloye, the former Minister of Power and Steel. The arraignment took place before Justice Donatus Okorowo of the Federal High Court.
Agunloye appeared in court on Wednesday, where he entered a plea of not guilty to the charges leveled against him. Subsequently, the presiding Judge, Justice Okorowo, ordered that he be remanded in the Kuje Correctional Center until the bail hearing.
This legal action follows the EFCC’s declaration of Agunloye as wanted in December 2023, citing allegations of forgery and corruption.
A public communique was issued by the Commission on various platforms, including X and its official website, displaying the former minister’s image and urging citizens to provide any information that could aid in his apprehension.
