The official clergy of the Bayelsa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress,APC, pastor David Alfred says the incoming Government of the state’s Governor-elect, chief David Lyon would be the best Government the state has ever had.
The Nembe-born clergy stated this Thursday in Yenagoa, the state capital during a chat with Journalists.
Alfred noted that following the antecedents of track record of service delivery and benevolence as well as a forgiving spirit which are a major characteristics of Lyon, he believe he would make the best fit as Governor.
According to the Man of God that the candidacy of Lyon and his running mate, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo won the November 16th Gubernatorial poll did not come as surprise just as he stressed that the duo’s kindness and indesperate approach to politics and leadership make them the best pair to Govern the state.
The pastor commended all the clergy and women who prayed and has been continuing praying for the APC and the Governor-elect.He urged Bayelsans to have faith in the incoming Administration.
On why he has not appeared in any prayer meeting organised by the outgoing administration, Alfred mentioned that the Dickson’s Government deliberately never sent him any invitation to their programmes, saying that the Lyon’s Government would carry all along in the scheme of things.
Meanwhile, the APC official clergy has reiterated his commitment to continue asking for God’s guidance in the incoming APC Government, just as he gave the assurances that irrespective of the Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN,Bayelsa state chapter’s endorsement of the PDP candidate in the past state’s Guber election that the David Lyon’s led APC administration would work with the entire Christendom.
“You know in the last Governorship election CAN endorsed the PDD candidate, but CAN is the umbrella body of Christianity in the state and so the Governor-elect, when finally he is sworn-in into offuce would work with all Christians, especially the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.” He said.
