Briefing on Tuesday by the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote at the former presentation of the Dangote Refinery product to the public.

“I want to salute the people of Nigeria and the government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for enabling us achieve this monumental task of giving energy to Nigeria, for growth, development and prosperity.
“I think this has been really a great move. I wish to sincerely thank the president for creating this idea of Naira for crude and also Naira for the product. Doing that, will give a lot of stability for the Naira, where now, you remove 40% of demand for the dollars in the market and that will actually stabilize the market, but that’s not it. As you know, there is a lot of round tripping where people now do documentation and the fuel do not come into Nigeria, is a fact. But, right now, as we have the Refinery working, it will show the true consumption of Nigeria. We can track every single loaded trucks, and we will try as much as possible to track the loaded ships. Trucks we can tell you the partners and co, where they are. But, that is matter for another day. Today discussion is just to celebrate and to thank God Almighty for bringing us to this stage of now producing gasoline.
“Though a lot of people had actually believed that we are not able to deliver, but we have being able to deliver. I hope the Refinery will actually change the entire dynamics, not only in Nigeria, but in the whole of South Sahara Africa. The capacity we have will not only meet the Nigeria demands. Will meet the demands of South Sahara Africa at least…..
The high point of the press briefing was the presentation of the product in bottle, which he said can compete in quality with any other around the globe.
