CP Niger Presents #48 million Cheques Under The IGP’s Group Life Assurance To  Deceased Police Families 

In furtherance of IGP’s welfare efforts to Police personnel and their families, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police presents cheques worth over forty-eight million( N48million ) to families of fallen Police personnel on November 10, 2025 at the State Police Headquarters, Minna.

The CP condoled with twenty families(20 families) and next-of-kins of Police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, whilst presenting cheques worth of forty-eight million, nine hundred and sixty thousand, two hundred and sixty-eight naira (#48,960,268.00k) to the bereaved families/ NOk under the Group Life Assurance Scheme.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police commiserated with the families on the loss of their loved ones, stating that the gesture was in continuation of the welfare initiatives of IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM for the families of deceased Police personnel.

He entreated them to view the token as a gesture of love in honour of our fallen heroes as no amount of money can equate the losses suffered. He said “consideration need not be adequate, but only real in the eyes of God”.

He therefore admonished them to kindly accept the token and prayed for God’s blessings upon them in their various endeavours.

He also encouraged them to view the Police Command as their second home and always reach out when in need.

The CP also explained the processes through which the payment can be made into their accounts as soon as possible to avoid any challenges.

In response, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs Salamatu Gambo appreciated the IGP and the Command for the kind gesture and prayed that God Almighty continues to bless the Police authority and protect all officers.

Other senior officers in attendance include DCP Ibrahim Adamu, DCP Aminu Garba, DCP Yakubu Isah, ACP Leticia Onwuchekwa, CSP Yakubu Tahir, CSP Jude Akaeze, CSP Muhktar Abdullahi, CSP Nda-Ali Dauda amongst other officers.
