Congregation to shout 365 hallelujah at Ikorodu vigil

Joy Cometh Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos is set to hold its annual program 365 Hallelujah Friday 2nd December.

The event according to the Senior Pastor of the Church Pastor Olaitan Aromolaran, is the fifth edition and scheduled to hold at the Ikorodu Town Hall by 7pm.

Talking about how the event started, Aromolaran, former Parish Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Covenant of Peace, Ikorodu said the program promises to attract worshipers to the presence of God where they would seek God’s face for the year 2017.

Aromolaran remembered how the Lord asked him to start the program.

“Some 14 years ago I was to attend a program organised by the RCCG at the Ikorodu Town Hall and Pastor Adeboye was to minister,” he said.

Remembering, he added that, “I saw that the carpet on the podium was not befitting enough. I was a sticker seller, I had no money. So I quickly talked to people that could lend me some money. I bought a new carpet which he used.”

“After the program, I took permission from the organisers to take the carpet which they obliged. It became my prayer mat for years. At exactly 10 years after that incident, God said to me ‘that crowd you saw there I can gather for you for my name sake because you have honoured my name and my servant.”

Continuing, he said, “God asked me to go to that same venue and He would gather people. He said let them praise me. Later the Lord came with the dimension of 365 hallelujah. He said let them gather and shout 365 hallelujah and I will give them the whole year in compensation; one hallelujah standing for each day of the coming year and that was how God started with us.”

The cleric who resigned honourably from the RCCG in November told journalists that the 365 Hallelujah event which attracts several thousands of worshipers is God’s program and not for a particular denomination.
