Bayelsa based internal revenue generation firm, Super AllGreen Ltd has said it has intensified efforts in shoring up revenue for the State Government.
To this end, the firm noted that the revenue quota within its operational scope at the ‘Swali ultramodern’ market to the state board of internal revenue has recently increased astronomically from about N1. 5m-3m.
The Super AllGreen CEO, Mr Beleuibimo Sunday who spoke with newsmen in Yenagoa, the State capital recently said upon the receipt from the State authorities the letter conveying the operational approval to the firm, the remittances ratings of the firm has been lauded by the state Government.
He commended the state Governor for his forthrightedness in increasing revenue in the state, saying the firm is committed to operating within its jurisdiction without incuring any breach of trust.
Mr Sunday restated that without having adequate knowledge of what a particular person or group is doing, others tend to envy and cast aspersions on their competitors, saying his scope of operation in the market is limited to only collection of levies on parking space, hawkers, wheelbarrows and on the tollgate.
He alleged that with the effort the firm has made in improving revenue drive within its operational boundaries, certain agents in some spheres, scared of his growing transparency ratings were now disparaging him and his firm.
The firm said: “Upon receiving our operational letter of approval as the legally recognized levy agent for wheelbarrow pushers, tollgate, parking space and hawkers in the Swali ultramodern market and with our efforts in shoring up the revenue base from our jurisdiction, some person’s whose stock in trade is collecting revenue without appropriate remittances to the government were now fighting us because they felt we’re now exposing their illegal deals.
“We even had to borrow money to fund some projects in the market, including opening of old and construction of new drainage system, repairs of damaged sections of the internal roads in the market, etc.
“We don’t have anything to hide and as a firm we don’t do any shady deals with anybody. And so the Government is happy with our firm. Our only crime is that we’ve increased revenue generation in this market for the government within our scope of operation”.
