Bayelsa Posts N45.47b As Savings In Dec. 2025

The Technical Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Treasury and Accounts Mr. Timipre Seipulo on Friday disclosed that the monthly savings of the State Government between October through December 2025 hit N45.478b.

He noted that the savings were realized upon deducting a deficit balance of N27.95 billion from N70.54b balance carried forward in the month of November, 2025.

Seipulo stated this while rendering stewardship of the monthly financial accruals to the State Government for the months of October, November and December 2025 tagged ”Transparency briefing” at the State’s Department of Treasury and Accounts, Yenagoa, the State capital on Friday 6th February, 2026.

He said total receipt in October stood at N64.23b with a net balance of N9 billion after deducting N55.13b for capital and recurrent expenditures, while total receipt for the month of November, was N48.84b with a net deficit balance of N2.31 billion after deducting N51.15 billion for capital and recurrent payments.

He said: “Balance brought forward to November was N70.54b. Total inflow for December was N47.792b. Outflows from payments and other deductions at FAAC stood at N19b, while total expenditure gulped N53.07b, leaving us with a balance of N45.478b”.

Earlier, the State’s Commissioner of Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Ebiowu Koku-Obiyai, has assured that the Bayelsa State Government remains committed to transparency and accountability in the management of its resources.

She highlighted Government’s achievements in various sectors, including infrastructural development, agriculture, blue economy, and tourism, noting that ongoing projects were receiving desired attention, while government was also meeting its contractual obligations.

She said: :The state has acquired two aircraft and is working towards establishing an aviation hub. The Senator Diri’s Goverment of ‘ASSURED PROSPERITY’ is committed to growing the economy of the State and making it attractive to investors and tourists”.
