Counselor representing former president Goodluck Jonathan’s Ogbia Council area ward 13,Hon. Ibhe Kogiaman has promised not to abandoned any ward project he has embarked on in the ward.
The council legislator gave the indication yesterday shortly after leading a team to monitor his first ward project in Otuaba community of the ward.
Our sources learnt that Ibhe having meticulously assess the needs of the various communities making up the ward settled for the construction of a six room block public convenience in Otuaba community.
Speaking shortly after the inspection tour,the lawmaker recalled how the cosmopolitant peaceful community has been without a conducive public convenience prior to his asumption into office as councilor.
He reiterated his commitment towards leaving no stone unturned in executing any ward project he would be embarking on to the latter,regretting however that he might not be able to replicate same feat in other communities of the ward as it were due to the paucity of funds.
The ward 13 councilor noted that the ward is the largest both in terms of electorates and geographic size in the council area, emphasising the need to creat an additional wards for both the ward and the Ogbia Local government area,so that the grassroot government could be closer to the electorates.
“This ward 13 is very large,I want to plead with stakeholders to work towards the creation of more wards out of the current 13 wards of the Ogbia council area”, he said.
“By so doing,the people would better feel the impact of the grassroot governance”, he added.
“But it’s quite unfortunate that due to the size of my ward,comprising six cosmopolitan communities of Otuoke, Otuaba,Ewoi, Otuabula 1 and Otuabula 2 respectively,I might not be able to execute this same project in all these communities due to lack of funds”, Ibhe noted.
