The people of Ologoghe community,Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, home town of newly appointed Chief of staff to the Bayelsa state Governor and immediate past chairman, Ogbia Brotherhood,Chief Benson Agadaga has expressed their appreciation to the Bayelsa state Governor, Senator Douye Diri on the appointment of their son to the exaulted position.
Speaking onbehalf of the community with Journalists in Yenagoa yesterday on  their expectations from the Government, the chairman and Treasurer, Community Development committee, CDC of the community who also double as Chairman and Treasurer of the Lion Club of Ogbia kingdom respectively, Mr Alafuro Ibomani and Mr Amona Idumum applauded Governor Diri for finding Chief Agadaga worthy for the office.
The community leadership noted that the chief of staff has distinguished himself in all his previous appointments, restating that he would bring his commulative experience to bear in his new appointment.
“Benson Agadaga(“the Agadema 1 of “Obhan Anyama” Anyama clan) has distinguished himself in different spheres of live.He was chairman, SUBEB,he has been commissioner for Information, he was also a permanent secretary in this state and in the preceding administration he was Special Adviser on Establishment and he has also served his Ogbia kingdom as Chairman, Ogbia brotherhood. He’ll not disappoint Bayelsans in his new appointment”, they said.
“In all his  previous appointments, especially as chairman, SUBEB he gave jobs to thousands of Bayelsans, making life more meaningful to them. Now as chief of staff to the Governor, we believe he would bring his wealth of experience onboard Governance”, the community leaders added.
Meanwhile, against the backdrop of underdevelopment and general lack of basic infrastructure in the rural communities of the state, Bayelsans across boards have tasked Governor Diri to focus on improvement of life in the rural areas.
This is coming on the heels of the Governor’s appointment of four among whom were former Speaker of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, Konbowei Benson as Secretary to the state Government and Chief Benson Agadaga as  Chief of staff recently.
Our sources gathered that Diri may not be leaving any stone unturned as he was reported set for the onerous task of Governance judging from his choices of the former speaker and the former Ogbia brotherhood helmsman as principal actors of his administration.
The sources hinted further that the relative stability witnessed under the Dickson’s administration was made possible by Konbowei Benson who was then Speaker, popularly referred to as the longest serving speaker in the Democratic history of the state, just as we also gathered that his role as a former Guber aspirant on the platform of the People Democratic party,PDP has also been partly instrumental to his appointment.
Our correspondent  also reveals that Agadaga’s appointment as Chief of staff may not be far fetch from his uncommon humility and selflessness which resulted in resolving gray issues formerly impeding his Ogbia Kingdom from having the monarch reigning all over the kingdom for years prior to his tenure as chairman of the apex Ogbia socio-cultural organisation, the Ogbia brotherhood as well as his role as Deputy Director-General of the Diri/Ewhrudjakpo campaign organisation.
