Women members of the Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC Wednesday rolled out drums celebrating former governor of the state and APC leader, Chief Timipre Sylva on his appointment and subsequent inauguration as minister of state for petroleum.
Speaking to newsmen, the state APC women leader, Mrs. Cynthia Princewill says Sylva’s appointment is apt, following his contribution to the party both in the state and national level.
The party woman leader harped that Sylva in his new deserving appointment would do more to strengthen the party now that he is a minister, stressing that even when the former governor had no appointment he was a rallying point for all APC members in the state.
While reiterating commitment to building a strong and virile party, Princewill eulogized president Buhari for taking Nigerians to the next level, saying that in the new ministerial appointments are square pegs in square holes just as she emphasized that Sylva is one of those competent ministerial appointees.
You would recall that President Muhammadu Buhari penultimate week inaugurated the new federal executive council with Sylva as minister of state for petroleum.
