Bayelsa 2019: PDP, APC, Others, Underrate Me–Com Okiah

Bayelsa state governorship aspirant and acting chairman of the state chapter of masses movement of Nigeria (MMN), Comrade Jones Okiah Daminola says the more his candidacy is underrated and less talked about by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress and other parties governorship aspirants and members the more chances that he would win the November, 16th Guber polls in the state.

The environmentalist and musical maestro-turned politician made these assertions Wednesday in Yenagoa, the state capital during a chat with journalists.

According to Okiah, when the state’s ruling Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress at the national level take his candidacy for granted God would raise men to work for his victory, stressing that even though the Bayelsa politicians are now use to vote buying majority of the electorates are no longer willing to mortgage their future with fringe financial offers to sell their votes.

The Guber hopeful whom many describe as detribalize harped that if elected unlike others he would be preoccupied with the development of the state, maintaining that all the communities in the nooks and crannies of the state would be provided with the right infrastructure and supply uninterrupted power  supply to fast tract the processes of industrialization.

Speaking against the back drop of the last National and state Assemblies elections in the state, the MMN Guber aspirant noted that his party wanted a litmus test on how the November 2019 Gubernatorial polls would look like in the state, hence they fielded a few candidates so as to enable the party understand the strategies of the PDP and APC, reinstating that he has what it takes to make Bayelsa state better.

Meanwhile as Nigerians recently marked  June 12th as the 2019 democracy day, the MMN governorship aspirant has called on president Muhamadu Buhari to mandate the electoral umpire to announce the June 12th 1993 presidential election result and officially declare the late chief MKO Abiola winner and as former president of Nigeria, emphasizing that giving him the GCFR title alone is not enough.
