Banking Stocks ahead as Stock Market closes on positive note

Nigerian Stock Exchange closed trading on a positive note Friday as all share index rose 1.66%. Market capitalization at the close of trading was N12,725,510,339,197.47.

After trading today, All Share Index was 36,920.56 up 1.66%. Market capitalization closed at N12.7 trillion and volume of shares traded was 236,619,367.00 units in 3,803.00 deals. A value of N4,807,693,729.28 Stocks were traded on the floor.

Zenith Bank led the gainers table opening at N23.01, closed at N24.53 and gained N1.52. GTB opened at N37.1, closed at N39.50 to gain N2.4 while FCMB which opened at N1.12 closed at N1.18 to gain N0.06.

On the losers’ end, Custudyns that opened at N3.8 closed sales at N3.61 losing N-0.19. Second top loser was Okomu Oil which closed on Thursday at N72.72, closed today at N69.09 and lost N-3.63. Cadbury opened on Friday at N12.7 only to close at N12.07 losing N-0.63.
