As Things Stand Right Now

By Kayode Akinrimisi

Many questions puzzle me looking at the world around and our country, Nigeria, Africa and our personal lives.

What struck me is the outright desecration of anything humanity. Today I have to look at issues from a Judeo-Christian belief because everything said in the Holy Bible is becoming a reality. 1st Timothy 3: 1-17 clearly captures the current realities.

1. These know also in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall become more lovers of oneself covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents unthankful, unholy.

3. Without natural affection, truce breakers false accusers despisers of those that are good.

4. Traitors, heady, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.

These capture humanity today from the developed world to the developing nations.

Humanity is a failure, let me look at the so called developed countries like Northern hemisphere countries including the West and the East.

A curious look at the West, they are talking of gay, homo sexuality, look at the East China and Russia are masters in oppressions.

We in Third world especially Africa want to go over not in slave camp ship again but willing to go to become captives to the developed world of our own accord.

Something is wrong that makes a Kenyan lady to say every part of Africa is run down. Now all we hear from politicians is RUSSIA/UKRAINE war as if if the war ends today Africa or Nigeria will be better off.

Let me leave Africa and concentrate on Nigeria. We are sick, hopelessly useless, we don’t produce, lazy, looking for easy money through ritualism and consecration of lives. How can a people develop like that?

The religious bodies are not helping better, they form parasites when they themselves are agents of hell.

How has Nigeria fallen since 1960? We still have 3,000 megawatts of electricity when Heathrow Airport in London alone generates close to 7,000 megawatts of electricity.

The options are clear, the current election cycle will not solve any problem except a Jagaban that will throw Amala up and down and after him what next???

Nigeria for me shall be decentralized, let every region develop at her own pace that was the dream of the former fathers before the ego and military incursion destroyed everything.

Some of the landmark developments of Nigeria today was recorded in the 60s and these were gradually destroyed to make Nigeria the world’s Afghanistan.

If Nigeria will not break up today, the pace by these overall failures of grand proportion will be averted, leaving to deal with the other human existence treat, namely the human nature depravity that has allowed the stronghold of population among the human seal which is what the developed world is facing.

Africa and Nigeria face a disabled tragedy of lack of balanced human development which is why we are becoming glance the second time to the developed world.

We need a change of mindset; everyone in Nigeria is all for formal and they don’t care how they get it…is it artisan government workers, Nigeria professionals?

Sometime also multinational companies were allowing Nigerian to fill Managing Director and Finance Director posts.

Clearly go and check now when they noticed the reckless stealing and fraud, they moved to remove the Nigerians because the headquarters offices were getting negative returns, some of the companies never recovered till date.

Somewhere Nigerian but no Nigerian or black gets a post of authority again…worst still they bring a South African or Kenyan who blacks has been influenced a lot in the other direction.

We need a different mindset if the country and the continent are to stand the next 100 years.
