Arik Air to resume operations 11am Wednesday

Arik airline is set to resume flight operations 11am today.

The airline with the largest fleet in West African sub-region suspended operations due to hitches with its insurance issues Tuesday afternoon.

According to the airline’s spokesman Adebanji Ola in a statement, the airline has resolved issues concerning its insurance and ready to begin flight operations.

“We have resolved the issues relating to the insurance. Our flights have resumed but our full operations will start tomorrow (today). Two flights are already leaving to Port Harcourt and Abuja…We sincerely apologise to our clients.”

The airline Tuesday had earlier announced suspension of operations due to difficulties it encountered in getting approval for its aircraft insurance.

Similarly, two other domestic airlines; First Nation and Aero Contractors recently also suspended operations.
