Ardova Plc on Thursday unveiled AP SuperMax Motor Oil, a new product designed to provide affordable and reliable lubrication solutions for millions of Nigerians who depend on generators, motorcycles, public transport vehicles, and aging engines for daily survival and productivity.
The product launch, which was attended by industry stakeholders, dealers, and distributors, marks a significant milestone in Ardova’s efforts to cater to the mass market.
According to Dr. Abiola Babatunde-Ojo, Deputy Managing Director of Ardova Plc, the company developed AP SuperMax in response to feedback from everyday users who desire quality engine protection without prohibitive costs.
She said, AP SuperMax being a monograde motor oil is designed for warmer climates, and particularly suitable for older engines operating under harsh conditions.
”The product offers protection against wear, rust, and deposits, maintains oil thickness at high temperatures, reduces oil consumption in aging engines, and provides corrosion protection and mechanical stability.
She added that, the product classified as API SF/CG and SAE 40 and can also be used in various vehicles and equipment, including cars, taxis, buses, tricycles, motorcycles, and generators.
According to her, while Ardova and its AP brand are widely associated with premium and high-end products, the company is equally committed to serving all segments of the market. She said AP SuperMax reflects that philosophy by combining performance, reliability and affordability in one product, making quality lubrication accessible to ordinary Nigerians.
AP SuperMax is already available nationwide through AP stations, NGO-branded stations, and accredited distributors, with digital ordering available via LS One Hub and AP Plus platforms.
The retail price for AP SuperMax has been fixed at ₦3,750 for one liter and ₦13,300 for four liters.
Speaking also on the top notch quality of the oil, Sade Taiwo, General Manager, Lubricant Sales and Marketing at Ardova Plc, said the product was developed after months of engagement with mechanics, dealers, and distributors across the country.
Engineer Ibrahim Bamgbopa, Group Executive General Manager, Asset and Project Management, highlighted Ardova’s extensive infrastructure, which enables the company to deliver products at scale.
He emphasized that the company’s nationwide retail network, distribution trucks, terminals, and lubricant blending capacity guarantee product availability, reliability, and resilience.
He said many Nigerians unknowingly purchase base oil believing they are buying proper lubricants due to lack of alternatives, a situation Ardova considers unacceptable.
Bamgbopa said Ardova’s extensive infrastructure positions the company to deliver at scale, citing its nationwide retail network, over 650 distribution trucks, multiple terminals across the country, and a lubricant blending capacity expanded from 24 million litres to 150 million litres annually.
He added that the company operates fully automated, European-standard blending plants, controls its supply chain from production to packaging through in-house blow-moulding facilities, and maintains over 30,000 metric tonnes of LPG storage capacity, representing nearly 30 per cent of Nigeria’s national capacity.
He said this integrated structure guarantees product availability, reliability and resilience, ensuring uninterrupted supply to customers across the country.
