Alleged Police Brutalization: IGP Orders Investigation

In a viral video where a rifle weilding policeman brutally slapped a passenger in kogi state has prompted the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, to order the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command to immediately carry out discrete investigations into the incident.

While the investigation is ongoing, the IGP has called for calm, noting that at the end of the investigations, justice would be done to the victim of the incident and police personnel found guilty, brought to book.

Since the video surfaced on the social media, it has elicited condemnation especially from the co-travelers who were disproportionately opposed to the brutal attack from the policeman who threatened to shoot anybody that comes near him.
