Airlifting For Christian Pilgrim Commences 24th Nov–NCPC

Barring any change, the Nigeria Christian pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has announced that the flag off of the 2016 Main Pilgrimage to Israel, Rome and Greece will take place on 24th November, 2016 at Yola International Airport, Adamawa State. The Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Senator. Mohammed Bindow, will serve as the special Guest of Honour at the occasion.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev. Uja Tor Uja, has also confirmed that four international Airports have been designated for the airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land this year which include Yola International Airport, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

The NCPC who detested the activities of fraudsters during this period, warned intending Christian Pilgrims to beware of fraudsters who often use pilgrimage season to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

“All intending pilgrims are to note that only NCPC and State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Boards and licensed Christian Pilgrimage Operators (CPOs) are authorized to mobilize pilgrims to Israel, Rome and Greece and collect Money from them”.

To this end, the Commission therefore urges intending Christian Pilgrims to refrain from patronising unauthorized persons and organisations who would try to use the pilgrimage exercise to extort money from Nigerians desirous of performing Christian pilgrimage.

The Commission further assured all intending Pilgrims and Stakeholders in the Christian pilgrimage project that all logistics have been put in place in Israel, Rome and Greece for a hitch free pilgrimage operation this year.
