Air Peace has issued a strong statement refuting a false and malicious report circulating on social media that one of its aircraft crashed in the Western Sahara region, resulting in fatalities.
The airline described the report as a “deliberate attempt to spread misinformation and tarnish” its impeccable safety record.¹
According to Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace, the report is entirely false, and the accompanying images are AI-generated and do not reflect any real incident.
The airline urged the public to disregard this malicious disinformation and rely on official channels for accurate information regarding Air Peace operations.
“This is not the first time the author of the post has disseminated false and alarming information about non-existent tragic incidents.
“Air Peace remains committed to the highest safety standards and the well-being of its passengers and crew, emphasizing that safety is not just a priority but a fundamental precondition for all its activities*, he added.
