5  Expatriates kidnappers, Gurama’s murderers apprehended

On the _d of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, sequel to the Kidnapping of four Expatriates and a Nigerian & for Dangote Group in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State on friday, November 9, 2016 and the Subsequent Kidnapping and murder of Mr. Bello Istifanus of Dangote Group when he went to Pay Ransom to the Kidnappers on Sunday, November 13, 2016, a Massive Manhunt was Launched against the Kidnappers by the Inteligence RescueTeam (IRT) led by Abba Kyari with the Technical Intelligence Support from TIU, three (3) of the kidnappers were apprehended.
Abubakar Gide 24 years old, Abdullahi Salihu 22 years old and Babuga Adamu 25 years old were arrested between Novenber 27 and December 3, 2016 in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, EPE Forrest Lagos State and Ajase Ipo Forrest in Kwara State Respectively.

The suspects confessed to the Kidnapping and the release of the 5 Dangote Expatriates/Staff after Collecting the sum of 5.6 million naira ransom.

They also confessed to the Kidnapping and murder of Mr Bello Istifanus Gurama of Dangote Group after delivering the 5.6million Ransom to Them.

One of the suspects,Abubakar Gide Claimed they were annoyed with Mr Bello for Bringing 5.6million Naira to them, instead of the sim of 10million that they demanded. “We were very angry and shot the man when he came with 5.6million when we were expecting a minimum of 100 Million Naira from the Company.” Gide said.

Meanwhile, the arrested suspected kidnappers led IRT Operatives and Ogun State Command Personnel to the Forrest in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State were three (3) AK47 Rifles with six (6) Magazines and 160 Rounds of Ammunitions used for their Operations was recovered.

They also led Operatives to Apoje River where the Decaying body of Mr Bello Gurama was found floating in the River with Bullet hole in his Scull and most part of his flesh Decomposed and eaten by Fishes. His Remains was Recovered and moved to Shagamu General Hospital Motuary for Autopsy

The poloce claimed that serious efforts are in progress to trace and arrest the rtemaining gang members who have escaped to other States.
