Bayelsa NAPPS Chairman Set To Run For Asst. Scribe Of INC…Touts Experience

Chairman, Bayelsa State chapter of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools(NAPPS), Barr. Marshal Abraham has picked nomination form for the office of Assistant Secretary in the March 2026 National Executive Council (NEC) elections of the apex Ijaw sociocultural organization, the Ijaw National Congress(INC).

Abraham, a two term Commissioner in charge of Legal matters with the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC), speaking with Journalists in Yenagoa, the State capital shortly after a consultation meeting with stakeholders midweek said he has commenced the processes of signing his nomination form from the three zones of the apex Ijaw sociocultural organization.

He touted his capacity and credibility, saying he possess the requisite experience and maturity to serve as Assistant scribe of the INC, restating that the organization stands to gain a lot from his experience if he is elected.

The NAPPS helmsman who also stated that he was in touch with stakeholders to make his dream a reality, expressed confidence in the organization’s electoral committee and boasted that he would win.

He said: “I’ve already picked my nomination form. Just a few days ago I was in Warri, Western zone of the INC to meet stakeholders for the signing of my form.

“I’ll be doing same with stakeholders of the Eastern and Central zones. I’m intellectual, academically and socially prepared and fit to serve Ijaw nation in the capacity of Assistant Secretary when elected.

“In academics, I’ve just rounded off a Ph.D in Legislative drafting from the Nigerian institute of advance legal studies (NIALS). I’m the Bayelsa state Chairman of the National association of proprietors of private schools(NAPPS).

“I’m one of the few persons who made history as having been reappointed as members of the Bayelsa State independent electoral commission (BYSIEC) after the expiration of their first tenure. My records are there as a proof.

“There’s no clan of Ijaw nation that I don’t have friends and aquatances who would want to play one role or the other for me hearing that I’m contesting the forthcoming INC polls”.
