‎Africa’s Cybersecurity Future: Dr. Aminu Maida To Speak At IIC Africa Chapter Meeting

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Aminu Maida, will speak at the inaugural meeting of the International Institute of Communications (IIC) Africa Chapter, scheduled for January 29, 2026.

‎The meeting aims to examine the evolving cybersecurity landscape across the African continent, with discussions expected to focus on the development of coherent regulatory and policy frameworks, as well as strategies to promote collaboration across sectors and across national boundaries in addressing emerging digital threats.

‎The IIC Africa Chapter noted that the engagement forms part of its broader commitment to advancing dialogue on cyber resilience, connectivity, digital policy, and regulation across Africa.

‎The virtual session will hold from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. WAT and will feature discussions targeted at strengthening cybersecurity systems across the continent.

‎Also listed as a speaker at the meeting is AbdulHakeem Ajijola, alongside other key stakeholders and experts in cybersecurity, digital policy, and regulation.

‎Participants will also explore the opportunities and challenges associated with building effective and resilient cybersecurity frameworks in Africa.
