Pa Laniwun Ajayi’s Legacy Lives on

Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has described the death of elder statesman, Sir Olanihun Ajayi as a great loss, not only to the Yoruba people, but the whole of Nigeria.
According to Honourable Adebutu while paying a condolence visit to the Isara Remo country home of one of the strong politicians of the first and second Republic on Sunday: “Baba lives on as his heritage is alive in the hearts of the people and this should be a great consolation that Sir Lanihun Ajayi left a legacy of good conduct and of selfless service to the people in his lifetime.”
The lawmaker who expressed his regret at the passing of Sir Ajayi especially at this turning point in our democracy, said there is a lot more that the next generation of politicians could still learn from the elder statesman.
Describing the demise as one of loosing a prophet, Hon. Adebutu said: “When you loose a great Prophet, you say to yourself why didn’t I seize the opportunity to spend more time with him and imbibe mire of what he could have given. Now that he is gone too suddenly, his teachings and his words now become stronger in the minds”
He therefore expressed optimism that the minimum that younger generation of politicians could do in honour of the memory of the late politician is to carrying on the ideals, ideology and principles for which he lived and died
