PDP Hails Wike On Doctorate Award At Uniport’s Convocation 

Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State Chapter, Barr. George Turnah, on behalf of the Party has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Minister of the FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike, on the conferment of an honourary Doctorate Degree(causa) by the University of Port Harcourt’ Rivers State.

A statement from the Media Aide to Turnah, Pst. Kelvin Loveday-Egbo made available to newsmen quoted him as describing the award as ‘well-deserved’, saying the honour is an attestation to the Minister’s outstanding contributions to public service, nation-building, and infrastructural transformation, particularly in Rivers State where he served as governor and now in the Federal Capital Territory as Minister.

The statement read in parts: “Your legacy of purposeful leadership, courage, and vision continues to resonate across Nigeria and serves as an enduring inspiration to many within and beyond our party.

“The PDP family in Bayelsa celebrates you not only as a distinguished son of the Niger Delta, but also as a towering pillar of the PDP whose political courage and commitment remain a source of strength and direction for our party nationwide.

“As you receive this academic honour, we are reminded that excellence always attracts recognition. You’re, indeed, a goldfish with no hiding place. You’re emblematic of impact, influence, and integrity.

“Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. We pray for continued wisdom, strength, and grace as you serve our nation at higher levels”.
