‎Half Year: NGX Rebalances Indices, New Companies Added, Others Dropped ‎

‎The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has announced the results of its full-year market index review for several key indices, effective July 1, 2025. The review led to changes in the composition of the indices, with some companies entering and exiting various indices.

‎The affected indices include:

‎- NGX 30
‎- NGX Lotus Islamic
‎- NGX Pension
‎- NGX Pension Broad Index
‎- Corporate Governance Index
‎- Afrinvest Bank Value Index
‎- Afrinvest Dividend Yield Index
‎- Meristem Growth Index
‎- Meristem Value Index
‎- Sectoral Indices (NGX Banking, NGX Insurance, NGX Industrial, NGX Consumer Goods, and NGX Oil & Gas)

The NGX rebalances its indices semi-annually to allow investors to track market movements and manage portfolios efficiently.

‎NGX CEO Jude Chiemeka emphasized the Exchange’s commitment to innovation and product development to deepen the market and boost liquidity.

‎Abimbola Babalola, Head of Trading & Products, highlighted the importance of the indices in helping investors manage their portfolios.
